Since my last trip to Colorado, I’d been wanting to go to this immersive art experience in downtown Denver called, MEOW WOLF. Melissa and I found it last minute on that 2021 trip, but due to an already packed itinerary, we weren’t able to make it, but I knew one day I’d be back and I’d finally get there. Well, that day came on Day Three and let me tell you what, it was well worth the two year wait.
MEOW WOLF was quite indescribable. I’m not going to provide commentary for each photo because often I don’t even really know what’d I’d say, so just enjoy this scroll through of whimsical magic and mayhem because if there is one thing that’s for certain about this blog, the pictures do not do it justice. You need to go for yourself one day because wow, just WOW!
Following MEOW WOLF, the five of us went to this rooftop bar a few blocks away and had some drinks and appetizers. The view was outstanding from up there. Clear shot of the mountains and the weather, while slightly overcast, was extraordinarily agreeable when compared to the fact it rained most rest of the day.
Well, there you have it! MEOW WOLF is a MUST SEE destination should you find yourself in Denver, Colorado; Santa Fe, New Mexico; or Las Vegas, Nevada where they have locations! A new one in Houston, Texas is soon opening as well! Each location has a different theme and Denver’s was “Convergence Station,” which was about the galaxy and aliens and such. You may have seen some interesting looking characters in the photos above, well they were actors. Who when interacted with properly unlock additional forms of the art for viewers. I’m telling you, this place was absolutely insane in the best way possible. We were there over two hours, but could easily of spent three times that. I kept seeing new things and places I hadn’t before and know we missed so much. It was a labyrinth of wonder and amazement.
The space was five stories tall with the first floor being a restaurant, shop, entryway and ticketing, the elevator took us to the fourth and let us out where we adventured up to the fifth and later down to the third. A character in the experience told us the second floor did not exist and another echoed a similar sentiment, which means it must be quite the journey to get to and I can only imagine what lies on that elusive second floor. One day I’ll get back and hopefully find out! I feel like MEOW WOLF was a place you could go again and again and never once duplicate your experience.
I bought our tickets the morning of for a time later that afternoon and I’m glad I did because when we got there it was PACKED! Hundreds and hundreds of people were lined up outside waiting to get in! It cost $50 a person, but I would’ve happily paid twice that. Totally worth it for me. I simply cannot praise this place enough. It was unlike anywhere I’d ever been before and gave me a yearning to visit all their other locations to experience what they offer, I just know they too will be out of this world.
Well, as always, THANK YOU so much for viewing! Feel free to leave me a comment below as I LOVE reading and responding to them! I’ll return soon with a special post showcasing a business in Fort Collins that I just fell in complete and total love with so I felt it deserved its own unique post, so until then, I wish you all, all the best!
