Disneyland 2024: Pixar Fest With Pals

We stayed at the Pixar Place Hotel, which was newly renovated and refurbished. We loved everything about this place. Really and truly, it was a top notch resort.
Our first evening there we were blessed with a handful of guests at dinner. Here Melissa and I are with our best friends, Michael and Jenna. Very much looking forward to this September when Melissa and I return to California to celebrate them at their wedding!
My Uncle Joe (and his girlfriend, Tamara, not pictured) also joined us at this delicious dinner. We ate at the Great Maple Modern American Eatery and loved it!
There’s nothing I love more than kicking our trip off with a character breakfast at The Plaza Inn in the Disneyland Park. It’s always magical meeting the characters and the food is second to none!
I don’t know how, but we failed to capture a photo of our girl, Treniece the Mouse. This is her sister, Suz… or maybe Treniece is actually Suz. I’m not sure honestly, it was a bit confusing because Treniece isn’t actually the purple dressed mouse’s name, but the name we coined for her. Unclear.
Like I’ve mentioned before, I was Captain Hook for three Halloweens when I was little. He’ll always be one of my favorites!
This group loves Aladdin!
Bancy in action!
Crab Cakes and Gumbo at my favorite restaurant in the entire world: The Blue Bayou. If I had one meal before death it would be here. The food is delicious, but it’s the atmosphere for me. You’re inside, but made to feel outside. The boats from Pirates of the Caribbean sail by as you dine on cajun cuisine. It’s just awe-inducing and pure Disney magic at its best.
We were there for Pixar Fest and they had all these eclectic setups all over celebrating some of Pixar’s greatest hits! I couldn’t resist showcasing the “B” for Ben!
We did the Walt’s Main Street Story guided tour and it was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had in Disneyland! I loved everything about it! It was a 90 minute experience that took us up and down Main Street, USA and ended in Walt’s Apartment above the firehouse. It was a dream come true being in there. All four of us definitely cried.
Here we are in Walt’s Apartment looking out the window onto Main Street, USA. As four HUGE Disney fans this was peak love for us.
We were blessed to have two kids on our tour who knew so much about Walt Disney that all us adults were left shook. They asked some incredible questions that really elevated the experience. It was wonderful seeing two youths full of so much passion and knowledge about one of history’s leading innovators.
We came up with this cute pose all on our own and had our PhotoPass Photographer laughing it up. We told him to feel free to use it with other groups, so when this trend takes hold, know you saw it here first.
This was taken right after this young, college-age boy hollered at me, “HEY WALDO! I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU ALL DAY!” Not going to lie, I was as lost as lost can be. I stood there in confusion as he walked up to me and repeated what he had just yelled. Then he pointed at my shirt and it all came crashing together. He was right, I was dressed like “Where’s Waldo?” but oddly enough, no one pointed this out to me all day! What a clever young man who definitely had me and Melissa laughing and complimenting him on his wit and willingness to point out the obvious.
Storybook Land Canal Boats at night will always be a fan favorite for me.
Mad Tea Party is another night time ride for me. You see, there are certain rides I only want to ride at night, never during the daylit hours. Most I don’t mind, but there’s a handful that you need not suggest if the sun is still hanging in that sky and the Mad Tea Party is forever one of them. Also, this is Céline’s tea cup. I was at Disneyland once the same time as Céline Dion and she rode this tea cup. From then on it’s the only one I’ll ever sit in.
Love Can Move Mountains!
My Cinna-Pym Toast 2.0 at Pym Test Kitchen was top notch! All the food in Disney is the best, but this restaurant on Avenger’s Campus has food that’s oversized or oversmall depending on the vibe. It’s cute, eclectic, and differently delicious.
We love our PhotoPass MagicMaker shots!
Give me all the Cars Land content! This is BY FAR my favorite land in any Disney Park! I love it so much!
The neons at night just give me that vibe I love so much.
We’ve been here two hundred times before and never knew about this mural till Melissa found it on TikTok a few weeks before we went! Thank goodness for the Disney Influencers!
Kamber joined us for this day and made it even more amazing than it already was!
BING BONG! Let me tell you all what, his bit in Inside Out causes me to cry harder than most anything else.
Melissa and her girl for life, Pocahontas.
On Thursday, California Melissa, joined in on the fun!
Cafe Orleans is not one of my favorite places to eat in the park, not to say it isn’t good, it just isn’t good for me. I did enjoy my Beef Bourguignon, as seen above, but it’ll be another seven years before I need a reminder of why I don’t eat at this restaurant.
Bancy with Lightning McQueen!
No better way to celebrate Pixar Fest at the Disneyland Resort then with your best pals!
