Celebrating Happy at the Disneyland Resort’s 70th Anniversary Spectacular

This was a new spot for a Disney PhotoPass person along Mainstreet, USA and I have to say, I really loved the backdrop it presented. Love those PhotoPass moments!
You’ll be hard pressed to find four people who love Treniece more than us! She’s THE BEST and we ALWAYS start our Disneyland Vacations by having breakfast with her.
We did the 70th Anniversary Tour and it was truly something. Learned quite a lot about all the magic that has been made the past seventy years. We also benefited by having a VIP spot to watch the nighttime parade and fireworks later that day. It was worth every penny and provided us with an abundance of magic.
Melissa Disney Bounded as Gus Gus from “Cinderella” on this day because of our breakfast with Treniece, BUT Pocahontas confused her for a Sycamore Tree Bound (someone else said Shrek, but that’s neither here nor there). This moment was truly special because Pocahontas came from out of nowhere to talk to Melissa because of Melissa’s Pocahontas-themed backpack.
Here we are aboard the Liberty Belle, which was one of the moments we got to share on our 70th Anniversary Tour. Learning that this ship was the first ride to open in Disneyland because Walt and Lillian celebrated their 30th Anniversary on it a few days before the park opened was truly insightful.
My favorite attraction looks so good at night. Love me some Haunted Mansion.
Pirates of the Caribbean looked too good to not photo at night too. Staying till close really allowed us some great photographic opportunities.
Loved the color scheme they were working with for the 70th.
Peep Nancy and her Rex shirt. This was another precious moment.
Sharing a stairwell with Chip was – again – another precious moment. We were blessed with some many extraordinary character interactions on this trip.
Being PROUD residents of Cutesville, you know we LOVE our Route 66!
Cars Land at night is PEAK Disney for me. It’s my favorite land in ANY US Disney Park and at night it shines the brightest. Love it with every beat of my heart!
Melissa, Nancy, and I did the World of Color Dessert Party, which provided us with a VIP viewing area of the show and a cute smorgasbord of snacks and treats. We loved every single moment of this special experience and cannot imagine watching this show in any other way again. 10/10. Worthy EVERY penny.
For the 17th we each Disney Bounded as one of the main core characters and as you can see, I was Goofy. I felt really good about my ensemble and standing next to him I can fully see that I truly nailed it.
Nancy channeling her inner Pluto.
Goofy, Donald, Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto.
Love me some Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. This attraction is truly top notch and the outside theming is just lovely.
Obligatory shot with Sleeping Beauty Castle. We were trying to channel The Golden Girls with this pose here. Nailed it.
Another fan-favorite, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Friday saw our group more than double in size as Kamber brought her three kids: Charlie (far left) Kaell (right of Charlie), and Maerick (right of Kaell) as well as California Melissa. Needless to say, we all had THE BEST time that day with one another. PLENTY of laughs were had and memories made.
