Spotlight St. Louis: Chihuly Nights at the Missouri Botanical Garden

May 2 through October 15, 2023, the Missouri Botanical Garden plays host to Chihuly in the Garden 2023. A thrilling exhibition of art and nature by the world-renowned artist, Dale Chihuly. His works consists of thousands of pieces of blown glass that form together to create twenty incredible installations sprinkled all throughout the garden’s expansive grounds.

Running this summer from May 13 through August 27 on Thursday through Sunday nights from 6:00 p.m. till 10:00 p.m. the Missouri Botanical Garden has Chihuly Nights. This outstanding event allows patrons the opportunity to view Chihuly’s wondrous works of art while they’re brilliantly illuminated! These events feature live music, cocktails, and pop-up offerings and require a separate admission in order for one to enjoy all the evening offers.

Tickets are $10.00 for an Adult (13+) Missouri Botanical Garden Member and $8.00 for a Member Child (3-12) and $20.00 for an Non-Member Adult and $10.00 for a Non-Member Child. I would strongly recommend buying tickets in advance as these events have been known to sell out. We bought ours just a few hours before going and I’m so glad we did because the place was packed and the line to buy tickets was quite lengthy when we arrived, so it was a real joy being able to bypass all that!

The Missouri Botanical Garden is open daily from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. allowing one the opportunity for daytime viewing of Chihuly in the Garden 2023, but like I mentioned above, Chihuly Nights falls on Thursday through Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.. Additional information can be found at the Missouri Botanical Garden’s website, mobot.org.

My friend, Erin, and I went a few weeks back and had the absolute best time! We got there around 7:00 and stayed till just before close. We had more than enough time to wander the grounds and take all the photos we wanted despite it being fairly crowded. It was a real blessing to be able to see these works of art in the sunset just before they were all lit up following nightfall, thereby giving us two unique perspectives on each singular piece. So come take a look at all the photos I took and then go check it out for yourself, I promise you, you’ll love every second of the serenity and spectacle!

Just to reiterate, Chihuly Nights only runs through August 27 and with the way this year has been zooming by, that’ll be here before you know it! So run don’t walk to this extraordinary event and have yourself an outstanding evening! I just know you’re about to have the best time!

As always, THANK YOU so much for viewing! Please feel free to leave a comment below as I love reading and responding to them! I’ll return soon with another all-new post highlighting my recent trip to Southern California, so until then, I wish you all, all the best!
