Auspicious Aulani In Heavenly Hawaii: Part Two Of Our Vacation Of Westward Expansion

There were two towers to Aulani, a masculine tower and a feminine tower. This is an ode to the Hawaiian culture where most everything is defined by one or the other. We were in the Waianae Tower, which is the masculine one. The art, murals, water features and all else in this tower represented the masculine aspect of Hawaiian culture.
Aulani shared a beach with the Four Seasons Resort Oahu. This is us there at the private cove beach that we went to several times throughout our stay.
Everything looked like a postcard. Hawaii features beauty beyond compare.
This is a Disney Resort after all, so there’s plenty of Disney features as well, including this adorable little Stitch totem.
A sunset view from our resort room.
Aulani at night was just magical. I’m not even sorry that I’m about to unload several photos of it for you all because honestly, nighttime Aulani was my favorite time.
We were extraordinarily fortunate that it wasn’t peak season. Often at night when walking around we’d be the only ones around, loved that.
Aulani features several pools and water features like slides and a lazy river. There was even a two story jacuzzi that I enjoyed on multiple occasions! Truly something for everyone!
A view of Aulani from the beach cove. Hearing the waves at night is always so serene and relaxing for me. One of my favorites sounds in the world.
The temperature at night was in the mid-70’s and always featured a light breeze and to be honest, might be my favorite temperature there is. It just felt so perfect at night. I was always happiest in the evening and loved being there when it got dark earlier.
Makahiki Restaurant and The Olelo Room Bar overlooking the lazy river pool area. We dined at both on different evenings and needless to say, like the food always is with Disney, it was practically perfect in every way.
We ate breakfast here at Off The Hook and this was our morning view. Impossible to beat.
It was Halloween time after all, so the characters were all dressed in their Halloween best. Mickey Mouse complimented my shirt, which of course meant a lot coming from such a cultural icon as he.
The view outside from the lobby. This is where the separation of masculine and feminine began. Everything to the right of the photo is the masculine side and the left feminine. We took this art and culture tour of Aulani and learned all about it all. It was incredibly fascinating.
The lighting displays were just beautiful to me and the whimsicalness they offered with the variety of light they showed was always a pleasure to see.
There was this lovely walking/jogging path along the beach by the resort that we followed along one evening and as you’re about to see, got some excellent photos.
Like I said in the Seattle post, I loved the sunset we saw there and I love the sunsets here in Cutesville, but I have to say, Hawaii has everyone beat. They’re just too cute to handle. Literally each one looks like a more beautiful postcard than the last.
A rainbow leading right to the pot of gold that is Aulani.
My Hawaiian Princess.
The sailboat on the sea and the varieties of oranges here just left me in awe. We sat there and watched the sun set over the course of several evenings. I could never imagine tiring of something so spectacular.
