Welcome to our third and final day on Mackinac Island! Let me tell you all what, I’m already looking forward to my next visit back…
We took this cute horse and carriage ride around the island. Last just under two hours and was absolutely lovely in every sense of the word.
I’m a big fan of graveyards, especially historic ones and Mackinac Island had a handful of them. Next time I return I will definitely be taking a stroll through each.
Loved this cute wall.
Back up at Arch Rock!
“FIRE!”
When I tell you all that I loved this fort, I need you to understand that I LOVED THIS FORT! It was so well preserved, so large, and offered some of THE BEST views on the island! 10/10! Highly Recommend!
Like I said, so well preserved. Even had the old windows! It was just wonderful.
Picture perfect.
Blue Skies and Sunshine.
The mowed grass in the center and along the right are part of a golf course. I’m sure it’s absolutely exquisite honestly.
This coat garnered me so many compliments and you best believe I loved hearing each one.
As you can see, not much has changed in 130 years.
I loved the color of these trees. I’m so thankful we went when we did, but next time I go I would like it to be summer, so I can experience the difference in seasons.
Surprise, surprise.
The views from up there were just unrivaled. Like I said in an earlier post, I’m certain I could churn out an entire novel in a season if I were to go and stay for that duration on the island.
Of course we had to do the mirror maze attraction they had downtown. It was super cute and offered yet another unique experience to our trip of many.
“Nancy, come take a picture of me in the jacuzzi from the fourth floor.”
We went to this cute tavern for dinner and I really wanted the ribs, but they were sold out! The waitress suggested the fish special to me instead and let me tell you what, I loved it!
We took this haunted walking tour this evening and it was quite informative. Definitely not scary by any means, but I was super intrigued by the multitude of different stories we heard in our 90 minute walk.
This tree was truly poppin’ with color. I love me some fall foliage!
Well, that wraps up the Mackinac Island part of the trip! Hope you all enjoyed it and are already making plans to go and visit yourselves! Feel free to leave me a comment or question below, I love reading and responding to them! The next post has us heading down to Detroit with a truly HIGH class pitstop along the way so be on the lookout for that in the next couple days! Until then though, I wish you all, all the best!
Working hard everyday towards achieving my goal of becoming an international best-selling author. Wrote the book, just need the agent and publisher. Received the ultimate endorsement when Britney Spears wrote me saying she'd be one of the first in line to buy my book! #FreeBritney
These are some great pictures Ben! Wow!
Thank you, thank you! This was a great trip!
It’s just so beautiful here! I definitely need to go back!
I would go back in a second!
