Walt Disney World 2025: “Where’s Melissa?”

After I came up with this pose for us and Donald, he loved it so much he had to walk over and check the PhotoPass Cast Member’s camera to see just how amazing it looked. I bet plenty of other individuals ended up taking a similar shot all day. Influencers indeed.
We didn’t see the sun one time this entire day and that was low-key super sad for me.
“Nancy, put your elbow on my head.” “No, that’s stupid, I’m not doing that.”
Nancy and I had a character lunch at the Garden Grille, which was a rotating restaurant inside The Land Pavilion. It was a real fan favorite for us, even with the animatronic dog incessantly barking for a third of the spin! And no! I’m not talking about Sweet Pluto here! He’s always a good boy!
“Right at the start, of everything that’s new. One Little Spark, lights up for you…”
I was so happy to be able to see my old friend, Lauren, from my Macy’s St. Clair days. She’s simply the best and she brought along her awesome friend, Emily, and would you look at us… we were the perfect color scheme and didn’t even coordinate it! Nancy and I were already rocking the red and yellow and then Lauren’s blue brought about the primary colors with Emily balancing us all out with some white. Made all our photos so aesthetically pleasing and made my heart so happy.
It also warmed my heart to see the squeeze paint bottles they had on display were yellow and orange! The colors of mine and Melissa’s love! Disney always does us right, even when half of us aren’t there.
Give me all the PhotoPass props please! Needless to say, we couldn’t wait to check-in to the Hollywood Tower Hotel!
I admittedly do love the Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout attraction in Disney California Adventure that replaced the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, BUT my goodness, I miss the aesthetic. It was just the best for me and I loved it so much, so it warmed my heart to return to it in Hollywood Studios.
We’re always ready to fight evil Empire’s – whether they be in a galaxy far, far away… or closer to home.
“Yes, words are useless! Gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble! Too much of it, darling, too much! This is why I show you my work!” – Edna Mode
“Hey, may the best monster win.”
This was likely Nancy’s (and mine, but I don’t honestly care about it) final time experiencing Muppet*Vision 3D as the Muppets themed area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to be razed for a Monster’s Inc. land, which I’m personally low-key way more excited for! Nonetheless, this was a sad moment for Nancy as she said her farewell to one of her most beloved attractions.
“I’m brushing up on looking down, I’m working on my ROAR!”
You’ll see a lot of this when vacationing with us. Our phones are always at the ready!
The Tree of Life (as seen two above) houses it’s tough to be a bug, which is one of my favorite attractions and like Muppet*Vision 3D, it too is going goodbye. It’ll soon be replaced with a Zootopia themed attraction, which I’m looking forward too, but still sad.
“It’s corn! It has the juice!”
Another area and attraction that’s about to go extinct is Dinoland U.S.A., which I’ll be perfectly honest, this is long overdue for me. This area is a relic of the past and not in a good way. The upkeep had fallen by the wayside and it just looked like junk compared to anything else in any other Disney Park, let alone this incredibly beautiful one of Disney’s The Animal Kingdom. It’ll soon be replaced with a Tropical Americas themed land featuring Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions, I can’t wait!
The art, the area, and the aesthetic of the Animal Kingdom is second to none. There’s literally beauty everywhere you look, which is why this is my favorite of the four parks in Walt Disney World.
Melissa flew in on this Friday evening and made it just in time for our lovely dinner with our phenomenal friend, Edward. Edward is a staple in our Walt Disney World vacations, it’s impossible for us to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth without seeing one of the most magical people we know. For those that don’t know, he and I worked together at Macy’s in Escondido and now he moved to central Florida. He is the most jovial, jubilant, caring, and kind soul and always livens our trip up ten fold just by seeing him. We ate at Paddlefish this particular evening in Disney Springs and needless to say, we had THE BEST time surrounded by delicious dishes and fantastic friends.
