Walt Disney World Day Three: Magic Kingdom

I’m so very sorry for the delay in my Disney series of vacation posts! I made the ridiculously bad decision of leaving my MacBook charger at home. That was foolish, but nonetheless, here we are with Day Three and I couldn’t be more excited to share our first day at Magic Kingdom with you all now that I have access to power!

Y’all know I love a good reflection shot!
Disney is down to the detail with EVERYTHING! The brown pavement of the pathways in the Liberty Square area of the park is meant to represent human waste since there was no indoor plumbing in colonial times and this was common in American cities back then.
My Mickey strawberry waffle breakfast with my dual drinks: iced coffee (top right) and The Doom Berry (top left) this one wasn’t a favorite of mine. I’ve come to realize I don’t much care for the taste of Powerade, which was the base of the beverage.
From Left: Kamber, Charles, yours truly, Melissa, & Nancy.
They had fifty of these golden character statues spread throughout the four parks to commemorate Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary. It was magical!
“I’ve got no strings to hold me down…”
The Disney PhotoPass Photographer told me to “JUMP!” & I’m SO thankful I did! This might be my favorite picture of the entire trip!
“it’s a small world after all…”
Splash Mountain is THE BEST attraction to me. I just love it so much!
I suspect that by the next time I return to Disney, Brer Rabbit and friends will have been replaced by Tiana (Princess & the Frog) and hers. Disney recently announced a Splash Mountain retheming and I feel equal parts thrilled and saddened.
Charles and I searching for adventure(land)!
I always get so excited when I see St. Louis imagery outside of St. Louis! Such a treat! This was found in the queue for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
This prince & princess were about to eat lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table!
For the first of my three courses I opted for the Beef Barley Soup – DELICIOUS!
For my main course I got the Tenderloin of Beef with Mashed Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts – again, DELICIOUS!
Finally, Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert. Yes, it too was DELICIOUS!
Workers Shortage Cinderella
Cinderella statue peering into Fantasyland.
Kamber & Charles fighting alongside Buzz Lightyear to defeat the evil Emperor Zurg!
Prince Charming’s Regal Carousel!
Remember, I was Captain Hook for three different Halloweens when I was young. He’s a King, an icon, & a legend.
Liberty Square Harbor and the Liberty Square Riverboat!
Disney Enchantment Fireworks!
Cinderella’s Castle lit up in all her 50th anniversary glory!
The Disney PhotoPass Photographers in the Animal Kingdom made us do the lion pose every single time, so we started doing it in the other parks too. It always stunned the photographers when we’d request it. Good times.
