For well over a decade now, I’ve been talking about and contemplating getting a tarot card reading. Well, the universe has been speaking to me in full force lately, I can sense that much, so I figured there was no time like the present. On Friday, February 24, 2023 I went and finally had a tarot card reading at Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop right here in Cutesville, USA (more commonly known as Granite City, Illinois) with Stephanie the Psychic.
After a delicious lunch at the Garden Gate Tea Room in The District, I set off for Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop and entered the former funeral parlor around 1:00 that afternoon. I immediately thought the entryway was real cute and was instantly put in a good mood about being there. Several informational bulletins and pamphlets lined the wall and table to the right of the door, so I read each of them prior to entering the main part of the store. I obviously knew I was getting a tarot card reading, but wasn’t sure what else I may be interested in, so I found all this knowledge quite helpful as it pertained to my uncertainty.
Upon my arrival, Stephanie wasted little to no time taking me back to begin my reading as I was definitely ready to roll. She introduced herself and before I knew it, I was following her down a short, dimly lit corridor to a large room where our tarot card reading was held. We sat down opposite of one another at a quaint, round table. The room felt about equal in size to the main shop and I imagined this is where the coffins used to be put on display while loved ones mourned the deceased. There was a grand bookcase along the wall behind Stephanie and behind me was a massage therapy table where Stephanie can balance ones Chakra, practice Tuning Fork Practition, and more.
Never having had a tarot card reading before, I was unsure of what to expect. In my naive and unaware state, I thought there was only one deck of cards from which the reading was had, but I was gravely mistaken, there are several decks and all appeared slightly different than the next. She asked me if I came with questions in mind or if I was just there for a general reading to which I answered, “I have no questions, nor am I seeking any answers, I’m only here to hear what the universe has to say to me.” With that, she handed me the first deck and asked me to shuffle the cards. I’m a terrible shuffler, so I did the best I was able before handing them back to her. She then laid several cards out on the table before me and placed the remainder of the stack aside and from there my reading began.
I believe everyone’s reading is wholly unique and personal to them, including my own, so I won’t be going into any detail as to what was told to me, but I can assure you, I walked out of that chamber feeling absolutely terrific about the prospects of my future and the overall experience as a whole. Stephanie was able to tell me things that there was NO WAY in this universe she would’ve known if she wasn’t the real deal! Even if she had sat there and read every blog I’d ever posted – which obviously didn’t happen – but what I’m saying is, she knew. Let me just reiterate that again because I don’t think it can be overstated enough: she. knew.
Stephanie is undoubtedly in touch with the spiritual world and on more than one occasion during my reading she left me in total shock and awe. Despite trying to remain stoic and give little to no reaction to the wonderment she was laying out before me, there were definitely a handful of times where she left me completely shook and I was unable to hide my emotional responses.
I’m beyond thankful I went and had this tarot card reading. Like I said, the universe had been giving me a multitude of signs these past couple of months and the timing just felt right to finally go and get this done. Walking away with the understanding and knowledge about what lies ahead has brought me a great deal of excitement, optimism, and even closure. The mass of uncertainty that I possessed before my reading is gone and instead I can forge ahead in all the right ways. This experience was most definitely a 10/10 for me and I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Note: As of April 2024, I’ve since had four other readings, bringing me to five in just over a year. I’ve decided that I want one every quarter, so every three months. Each reading has been more precise and concise now that Stephanie and I’ve gotten to know one another better. That precision and concision have only served to elevate my readings in ways I could never of foreseen. Like I said, she knows, and that has only been magnified with the evolution of our relationship.
Looking to diversify my experience, I decided to do an ionic foot detox following my tarot card reading. One of the informational bulletins in the front entryway spoke to this service and from the moment I read about it I was immediately intrigued and knew this was something I had to do.
Vicki and Stephanie took me to the back of the store into this narrow corridor where I sat in a chair and removed my shoes and socks, rolled my pant legs up, and placed my feet into a small tub full of warm water. They inserted this machine into the middle and from there it started working its magic. The entire experience took about thirty minutes and it was fascinating to see the water go from completely clear and normal to a beautiful shade of orange to an absolutely disgusting and thick rendition of brown. That water in the end looked so unhealthy, but never having done anything like this before, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.
The color of the water is an indication of what toxins are being removed from ones body. Orange meant joint toxins, which couldn’t have been more appropriate for me since I pop my neck, back, knees, ankles, toes, literally every joint ever ALL of the time. On the chart given to me following the initial changing of the water, it was the only color that really made sense for me, so again, I was left with an extremely favorable impression of my experience. Stephanie could very well of walked around her shop singing Britney Spears generation-defining anthem, “Oops!… I Did It Again” after my experiences because she was seriously two for two with me.
Recently, I had my third ear candling at the shop and let me tell you what, if you do nothing else, do this! I get horrible sinuses/allergies, so last summer, I went and had my first ear candling experience. I now do one every six months! I can absolutely experience the results! Clearing my head from all that pollen, wax, and other build up leads me to a newfound freedom each time! I don’t get half the headaches or other irritants my sinuses and allergies would typically bring for months following one! It’s $30 for the service and takes about fifteen minutes per ear.
I also had a Chakra Balancing the day I got my third ear candling and while I went into it with a great deal of skepticism. I left a believer. I was in such a trance I cannot even describe it any other way. I know I was awake as I can clearly remember hearing the Tuning Forks clinging together, but it was like when you wake up from a dream and you remember that dream so vividly, but being awake. I don’t know how else to describe it. That doesn’t make the most sense, but it was like being asleep and awake simultaneously. It was wild. At one point I tried lifting my left hand to scratch my nose and I couldn’t even do so. It was unreal! I don’t know how long it took but I was in the best meditative state. When it was over Stephanie told me to drink lots of water as the displacement of all the toxins in my body would cause a discoloration in my urine. I always drink lots of water, so this isn’t a worry for me, but I also thought no way could that be true. Sure enough she was right though, the next time I peed my urine was grey! I was dumbfounded! I also felt incredibly better following this experience. I’d been feeling unbalanced for quite a while and this made me feel whole again and in focus. While I don’t know that I would do this regularly like all the other services, I would most definitely return to it should I ever feel that unbalanced again. Again, Highly Recommend!

I’m a firm believer that selfcare is the best healthcare and Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop offers a multitude of self care experiences that I’m certain ANYONE can benefit from!
