After years of wanting one, I finally had my first tarot card reading in February of 2023 with Stephanie the Psychic at Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop in Granite City, Illinois. Since then, I’ve been going like clockwork every three months and now have it down to a formula. I always kick off my new year’s with one as soon as possible in January, then another in April, followed by July, and finally October. Honestly, the entertainment and enlightenment that I get from each reading is unrivaled by anything else I do.
Some may have read entertainment as a throwaway term, but for me, its anything but. I hear and retain everything Stephanie tells me in the cards and for the next three months or more, wait and watch as the events as predicted unfold. That is the ultimate form of entertainment for me. I feel enlightened by the fact that I have an idea of what is coming.
I recognize that this isn’t for everyone and there are plenty of skeptics out there. For goodness sake, my wife is even one, but I can assure you, Miss Stephanie is the real deal. My readings, while more based on what is to happen, have also had plenty of moments rooted in my past. Stephanie has shared things with me about myself that would be impossible for her to know outright, which has made me a firm believer in this mystical art and her abilities to read and communicate that energy.
The room where the tarot card readings are held is not pictured in this post, but it felt about equal in size to the main shop and I imagined this is where the coffins used to be put on display while loved ones mourned the deceased. In case you missed the first photo caption above, Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop is housed in an old funeral home. There is a grand bookcase along the wall behind Stephanie and behind me was a massage therapy table where Stephanie can balance ones Chakra, practice Tuning Fork Practition, and more.
Stephanie’s readings are made up of several tarot card decks and all are slightly different than the next. The first time I visited she asked me if I came with questions in mind or if I was just there for a general reading to which I answered, “I have no questions, nor am I seeking any answers, I’m only here to hear what the universe has to say to me.” This has been the status quo with each reading since. I never come with any questions, only to hear what’s next.
I believe everyone’s reading is wholly unique and personal to them, so I’ll refrain from going into any detail about any of my own, but I can assure you, I walk out of that chamber every three months feeling absolutely engaged and enlightened, and like I said, entertained. A half hour reading is $65 and I wouldn’t be spending $260 a year on tarot card readings if I didn’t feel that it was truly enhancing my life in the best way.
I’m beyond thankful and appreciative to Miss Stephanie for my tarot card readings. The signs of life are all around us and being able to tap into those provides me with a sense of appreciation and understanding that I don’t feel I’d be receiving otherwise. Life is all about perspective and this has helped me shape mine into an infinitely more positive one. The experience is consistently a 10/10 for me and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to anyone and everyone! It is my firm belief that Miss Stephanie can make a believer out of the biggest skeptic.
Note: This most recent tarot card reading was my ninth. Each reading has been more precise and concise now that Stephanie and I have gotten to know one another better. That precision and concision have only served to elevate my readings in ways I could never of foreseen. Like I said, she knows, and that has only been magnified with the evolution of our relationship.
Looking to diversify my experience, I decided to do an ionic foot detox following my tarot card reading. One of the informational bulletins in the front entryway spoke to this service and from the moment I read about it I was immediately intrigued and knew this was something I had to do.
Stephanie took me to the back of the store into this narrow corridor where I sat in a chair and removed my shoes and socks, rolled my pant legs up, and placed my feet into a small tub full of warm water. They inserted this machine into the middle and from there it started working its magic. The entire experience took about thirty minutes and it was fascinating to see the water go from completely clear and normal to a beautiful shade of orange to an absolutely disgusting and thick rendition of brown. That water in the end looked so unhealthy, but never having done anything like this before, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.
The color of the water is an indication of what toxins are being removed from one’s body. Orange meant joint toxins, which couldn’t have been more appropriate for me since I pop my neck, back, knees, ankles, toes, literally every joint ever ALL of the time. On the chart given to me following the initial changing of the water, it was the only color that really made sense for me, so again, I was left with an extremely favorable impression of my experience.
In addition to my quarterly tarot card readings, I’ve been getting seasonal ear candling’s. I do them at least twice a year now and let me tell you what, they help tremendously! I get horrible sinus/allergy issues and following my first ear candling over a year ago, I’ve had far fewer incidents. Clearing my head from all that pollen, wax, and other build up leads me to a newfound freedom each time! It’s incredible being able to experience the results firsthand! I don’t get half the headaches or other irritants my sinuses and allergies typically bring! It’s $37 for the service and takes about fifteen minutes per ear.
I’ve also had a Chakra Balancing and while I went into it with a great deal of skepticism. I left a believer. I was in such a trance through the entire experience. It was like being asleep and awake simultaneously. It was wild. At one point I tried lifting my left hand to scratch my nose and I couldn’t even do so. It was unreal! I don’t know how long it took but I was in the best meditative state. When it was over Stephanie told me to drink lots of water as the displacement of all the toxins in my body would cause a discoloration in my urine. I always drink lots of water, so this isn’t a worry for me, but I also thought no way could that be true. Sure enough she was right though, the next time I peed my urine was grey! I was dumbfounded! I also felt incredibly better following this experience. I’d been feeling unbalanced for quite a while and this made me feel whole again and in focus. While I don’t know that I would do this regularly like all the other services, I would most definitely return to it should I ever feel that unbalanced again. Again, Highly Recommend!

I’m a firm believer that selfcare is the best healthcare and Stephanie’s Spiritual Shop offers a multitude of self care experiences that I’m certain ANYONE can benefit from!
