Cutesville Connections: The Flower Emporium

This quaint shop sits in the heart of Mitchell, right along the Chain of Rocks Road.
Really and truly, this place couldn’t be more welcoming. The Flower Emporium is an absolute breath of fresh air.
While they boast a variety and magnitude of real flowers, there’s an incredible amount of silk ones as well, providing both a realistic impression and a longer lasting display.
All the floral based arrangements throughout the store are totally and completely unique as each was handmade in store and customized by the incredible staff that create these dynamic displays.
I was honestly surprised, but incredibly impressed with the variety of offerings.
I visited right after Mother’s Day, so this Mother’s Day table was all but wiped out! Next up is an Americana showcase, which I look forward to revisiting to see. With Memorial Day and Fourth of July both on the horizon, I’m sure this will be a highly trafficked area in the shop.
Given the infrequency I shop flowers, I was just amazed at how they truly thought of anything and everything to include with your floral arrangement.
Pricing can vary quite a bit, but for example, a Summer Flowers Designer’s Choice arrangement runs $50 for a Standard, $65 for a Deluxe, and then $80 for a Premium display.
The retail space, while small, was fully utilized. Take your time perusing around because you will definitely catch something neat and unique everywhere you look.
Like I’ve been saying, there’s a nice selection spotlighting any occasion. This one in particular is for pets.
Roses are always popular and a Lovely Roses Designer’s Choice arrangement runs $75 for a Standard display, $85 for a Deluxe one, or $95 for Premium.
I selected a lovely white and yellow bouquet from the refrigerator to give my mom for Mother’s Day. She absolutely loved it!
I learned that at one point Granite City had nine florists! Now, the Flower Emporium is the last one standing! Next year will be their fortieth anniversary! Outstanding!
They had a wonderful selection of hanging baskets outside that really set the inviting tone for when you go to enter the spectacular store.
This was the white and yellow bouquet I mentioned above that I got for my mom for Mother’s Day! It was priced at $45.
