On the second day of our Disney vacation, we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which is my favorite of the four parks in Walt Disney World. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, we had the privilege of being joined by a wonderful friend of mine, Colsen.
Colsen, as you may remember, was the California Triplets best friend and neighbor. I’ve been blessed to know him for as long as I’ve known the triplets (since 2014!) and love him every bit as much as I do them. Colsen’s attending the Marine Mechanics Institute down here in Orlando, so it was an absolute given that he would be joining us one day on our vacation. The Animal Kingdom proved to be the perfect park for his accompaniment as he, like ourselves, is an avid animal enthusiast and cares deeply for the world in which we live in.
While I do pride myself on being a fairly decent photographer, I think you’ll be able to tell there are a few in here that I most certainly did not take. Disney PhotoPass is one of my absolute favorite perks of a Disney Park and their photographers do an unrivaled job at capturing those incredible moments. Needless to say, there was no way I was sharing this blog without including some of their phenomenal photos!
The next several shots are from Pandora: The World of Avatar. This expansive and immersive land is based off James Cameron’s epic sci-fi fantasy, Avatar, which just so happens to be the #1 highest grossing film of all time. The floating mountains of Pandora make for the most amazing overhead centerpiece of this jaw-dropping land. The Flight of Passage ride, which is unfortunately not pictured below, is one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. It’s unlike any other ride I’ve ever been on and made the perfect start to our perfect day. Should you ever go, disregard the wait time. No matter what it is, it’s worth it for this ride.
Well, as always, THANK YOU so much for viewing! PLEASE feel free to leave me a comment below as I LOVE reading and responding to them! Animal Kingdom is THE BEST park for me down here. The attention to detail in the lands of Africa and Asia are so spot on that it reminds me exactly of my times in Kenya and Thailand. I just love every little thing about this park! Not sure when I’ll get Day Three out, but I can assure you, it’s a good one! We went to the Magic Kingdom that day and I’m exceptionally proud of those photos! Until then, I wish you all, all the best!

Wow! This looks like a real neat place! What a fun time! Didn’t even know they had a park like this with animals and rides all mixed together.
It’s the best! My #1 favorite park down here! I LOVE IT!!!
YES! You didn’t write much about the day in detail but the pictures told a great story anyway and I LOVE them all!! Now I see how wet you guys all got on the water ride! I Love the “Album cover” photo but now what are we gonna name the “band”? Hmmmm???? Ben and the Disney Dingos?? LOL
SO many possibilities! I LOVE it ALL, can’t wait to see the other Disney day adventures next!
We’ll have to collaborate on a band name! Disney Dingos is definitely a front runner though! 😂 I’m glad you enjoyed the photos! It really was THE BEST day & we’re so thankful Colsen got to experience it with us!
The Disney Desperados is another band name option! 😅
Even better! I love that song “Desperado” by The Eagles & I love Disney, so like Hannah Montana, it’s the best of both worlds!
Love all the pictures but the picture of the Expedition Everest is fantastic! I’ve never been to this park because it wasn’t even built the time I went to Disney World so this is a must visit for me!
It. Is. The. Best. I love it so much! The theming is so on point to the reality of those continents!
